Beauty in Immortality
Lush waters fresh loll o'er
The ledge long and steep
Clearer than diamond cut from carbon with care,
Trickling above and o'er the stone and fallen log
Playing hide and go seek with the minnow and otter
Who frolic nary a doubt in the world,
Through valleys high an' low it dances
Waltzing with the foxes the free leaves and wind,
Glinting like liquid rubies under the glow of the sun
Immortal for it seems so young.
